About Druckling

Hi — we're Druckling.

A one-person 3D-printing studio in Zürich. No print farm, no faceless queue, no "your order is somewhere in a warehouse in another time zone." Just a real maker, a seriously good printer, and a slightly obsessive need to get every print exactly right.

Why "Druckling"?

It's a little Swiss-German pun. Druck is German for "print." Add the English duckling, and the very Swiss habit of sticking -li on the end of everything to make it small and friendly — and you land on Druckling: a little printing duck. He's the mascot. He takes the job extremely seriously.

What we make

Bring us a file, a sketch, or just an idea, and we'll turn it into a real object — printed cleanly, checked by hand, and posted to your door. There are two ways in: you've already got a design (your own CAD, or a model you're licensed to use) and we quote the print — or you've only got an idea, and we design it from scratch. Rapid prototyping for the thing that doesn't exist yet.

We're happiest making the things we'd want ourselves: creator merch, corporate gifts that aren't naff, personal keepsakes, niche accessories, prototypes, and the odd replacement part for something you can't buy anymore.

The tech bit

Meet the machine.

At the heart of the studio is an enclosed, professional-grade printer — the kind of setup that holds its temperature dead steady, which is exactly what you need for crisp detail and the trickier, tougher materials.

It lays down layers as fine as 0.08 mm — roughly the width of a human hair — so even small, fiddly parts come out sharp. A tiny mechanism, an intricate keychain, a precise little bracket that has to fit just so: that's its happy place. And because it's fully enclosed, it can reach past the everyday plastics into engineering-grade, carbon-fibre-reinforced and higher-temperature materials when a part needs to survive real life.

Strong, stubborn, or stretchy?

Different jobs want different stuff. Here's the everyday line-up — PLA, PETG and TPU, each available in several colours — rated on the two things people ask about most: how strong it is, and how much heat it shrugs off before it goes soft.

Need more muscle? Meet carbon-nylon.

For parts that take a real beating, we also print carbon-fibre nylon (carbon-nylon) — a serious engineering material that sits right at the top of the scale for both strength and heat resistance, alongside other higher-temp options. If your project needs it, just ask and we'll spec the right material.

The honest bit

3D printing is a bit like magic, but it isn't injection moulding. Prints have fine layer lines, colours are close-but-not-quite-Pantone, and most pieces aren't food-safe. We'll always tell you what a material can and can't do before you pay — so there are no surprises when the parcel lands.

We keep it legit

We print your ideas and your designs — not copies of someone else's. No bootleg characters, no ripped-off logos. Open designs and original work, always; protected stuff, never. It keeps you safe, and it keeps us in business.
